ABOUT THE CELL

An Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Cell is a specialized unit within an Organization that focuses on managing, protecting Intellectual Property Assets.

OBJECTIVES OF IPR CELL:
  1. To provide education about Intellectual Property Rights and their importance.
  2. Managing the Portfolio including Patents, Copyrights.
  3. Facilitating the filling of patent includes drafting and filling.
  4. Conducting Intellectual Property audits to assess the value within the Organization.
  5. Identifying opportunities for collaborations with external entities.
  6. Encouraging Research and Innovation within the Organizations.
FUNCTIONS OF IPR CELL:
  1. Conducting workshops, seminars and training programs
  2. Handling the preparation, filling and prosecution of patent
  3. Conducting periodic intellectual property audits
  4. Conducting research and analysis to identify emerging trends and potential areas for innovation and patenting
  5. Maintaining accurate records of all intellectual property related activities.
