ABOUT THE CELL
An Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Cell is a specialized unit within an Organization that focuses on managing, protecting Intellectual Property Assets.
OBJECTIVES OF IPR CELL:
- To provide education about Intellectual Property Rights and their importance.
- Managing the Portfolio including Patents, Copyrights.
- Facilitating the filling of patent includes drafting and filling.
- Conducting Intellectual Property audits to assess the value within the Organization.
- Identifying opportunities for collaborations with external entities.
- Encouraging Research and Innovation within the Organizations.
FUNCTIONS OF IPR CELL:
- Conducting workshops, seminars and training programs
- Handling the preparation, filling and prosecution of patent
- Conducting periodic intellectual property audits
- Conducting research and analysis to identify emerging trends and potential areas for innovation and patenting
- Maintaining accurate records of all intellectual property related activities.
